The Spud Jr V2 is our new redesigned mini grappling hook that supersedes the v1. The main design change is a longer center section and an elongated carabineer slot that allows for almost any carabineer to be used with the V2. It retains the same folding design, which allows it to be stored away easily in a pouch while at the same time retaining the ability to be assembled in seconds for rapid deployment. The combination of a smaller and lighter grappling hook makes the Spud Jr ideal for dismounted operations. The design incorporates a large tooth and ribbed bar designed specifically for the remote move of command wire, trip lines, pressure pads, main charges, etc. The spud is constructed of lightweight aircraft grade aluminum that's capable of holding several hundred pounds.
